Training Classes
As Website Forge has grown, we've had increasing requests for training. As there is only one of me and several of you, we've come up with training classes.
Attending a class is helpful because it allows classmates the opportunity to hear other peoples questions answered as well as their own concerning the tools available.
Currently, we are only offering training on the Content Tools and Ecommerce Management. However, we have decided to open the training classes up to any Website Forge client.
Below are listed the scheduled classes and what topic will be covered. Attached also is the etiquette page to ensure that every class is conducted as efficiently as possible.
I would suggest that you take the classes in this order if you have an ecommerce site:
Beginner Training:
This class covers basic website terminology and navigation, as well as a brief overview of a website from a simple "start up" perspective. Learn how to add a category and product manually. How to add a member to your member module. How to add a page and insert text and images.
Content Training:
This covers a wider range of topics for editing pages. From adding a page to inserting tables, feedback forms, FAQ forms. Adding images, text, links. Also cover adding different frame types and basic information on editing your layout builder. Also includes the site menu, Template & Settings, adding emails, using Content Manager and much more.
Ecommerce Training:
This coveres everything in the ecommerce module. From the Overview to the Shipping setup. Learn how to create Categories, Products, Product Options. Set up your shopping cart fields, your shipping zones, conditions & methods. Also covers virtual currency, gift certificates and global coupons & discounts.
Odds 'n Ends:
This class covers anything that you haven't leared from the first 3 classes. Generally used as a "Questions & Answers" class. Anything you have been stuck on that you need extra assistance for, you can get covered here. From Member & Blog modules to your own specific Ad module.
I would suggest that you take the classes in this order if you have a content site only:

This will allow you to digest the information in a more natural sequence.

Each class only has nine "seats" available so if the class date and time that you've requested is full, then you may be scheduled for the next class. Note: All classes are conducted in Eastern Standard Time.
Please note that if you cannot make the scheduled training class we strongly request that you let the trainer know so your "seat" can be given to another client.
