An External link is a link to some web page or address outside of your own web site. The most common external link is a link to another web site from your own.
To create an External link
1. Use your left navigation menu to go and select Site Menu
2. Find the Add Menu Item form. It should be at the top of the page and look like this:
3. Enter the Menu Item Label
4. Choose External Link in the Link To drop box:
5. Enter the full link path in the following text field (example below is a link to yahoo.com):
We suggest that you open external links in a new window so that people aren't forced to leave your site as they will have two windows open, your site and the external site.
6. Using the Parent Item menu, choose the Parent item you wish to place your new menu item under.
7. Choose the Place After menu button. Choose <Place First> if you would like this item at the top of the list. Choosing <Place First> will make it the FIRST item in the Sub-menu
Play around with the Place After option to get a feel for how to reorder your buttons
8. Click the button to add the menu item. |
