Understanding Frames

Frames are 'bricks' a page consists of. A frame takes a rectangular area on your site page. There are different types of frames each one providing specific functionality: Rich Text (WYSIWYG editor), E-commerce Item List, E-commerce Category List, Membership Login Panel, Membership Member List, and many more. Basically, you can put any number of any types of frames on a site page.   This way Frames, along with Site Pages, comprise your site front end visible by your site visitors.

On the other hand, Frames are closely related to Modules, as explained here.

A Frame in regards to Website Forge is a section of your page that you can insert some type of content.  Content may be text, images, links or special modules for forms and e-commerce functions.

Here is an example of a Frame:

Frames make formatting pages simple!

Instead of struggling to align text and images on a page -- use Frames to give each paragraph or section of information it's own space.  This way your information remains grouped and will remain readable when viewing your site from different browsers and computers.

With Frames you can:

Organize the page into content areas
Place many different types of content on one page
Place controls like a "shopping cart" or a "contact form" on the same page as images and text
Copy and duplicate frames to other pages to avoid double entry
